The environmental Management

The environmental management is the set of strategies and actions that when executed by the society in general o through an organization that represent them, contributes to the sustainable development.

Within the productive activities of CELEC E.P.- HIDROPAUTE in the sub-basin of Paute, directly related to the environment, the company includes in it value chain the following components:

• The prevention, mitigation and compensation of both environmental and social for the construction works, maintenance and hydroelectric operation.
  
• The management of the Paute Sub-basin.
  
• The education for the sustainable development.
  
• The implementation of an Environmental Management System.
  

These four components are part of the Environmental and Social Management Plan, that responds to the Hydroelectric Projects of CELEC E. P. – HIDROPAUTE, grouped in PAUTE INTEGRAL.

The Social Responsibility

The Corporate Social Responsibility (RSE for its acrostic in Spanish –Responsabilidad Social Empresarial) is the contribution of CELEC E. P. – HIDROPAUTE to the share to sustainable development. The social responsibility is linked to the responsibility with the people and nature. Therefore, it is appropriate to talk always about the social and environmental responsibility of the company.

In CELEC E.P. –HIDROPAUTE the environmental management strategies and the RSE are in concordance with the action directly related to the Company; taking into account its value chain to reach the final product: Electricity.

Within the organic and functional structure of the Company, the responsible section of the matter of RSE is the Unit of Environmental Management and Social Responsibility, in concordance with the social and environmental management plan of PAUTE INTENGRAL.
